Psalms 109 & 110 are called Messianic in content, since they refer to the suffering and persecution that Christ would face. There is a lot to be said about suffering. I've found that as I've gone through seasons of trial or direct persecution, usually on the other side of this time I've learned a great deal. My walk with Christ is stronger.
Pressure brings out what is on the inside of us. If we have a good measure of godliness and truth, when the heat is on, this comes out. If, however, our well is not deep, as pressure mounts, a different spirit comes out.
No matter where we are at on this spectrum, God is willing to meet us right there. At our point of greatest need. When we cry out, in full surrender and trust, God hears.
ThoughtPrayer: "At my point of deepest need, there, Lord, meet with me."
